This was so wonderful to connect with the community to listen to all the memories that this district provided for the families that grew up in our district of Little Saigon Denver CO. Thank you to Colorado Asian Pacific United - CAPU & History Colorado for listening and sharing our community memories and stories for this project. We can’t wait to tell the community more about the Little Saigon project that will be displayed at the museum. Thank you to Lindsey from Rocky Mountain PBS for capturing all the moments and from the memory workshop.

Share your memories of the Little Saigon District! Colorado Asian Pacific United has been recording oral histories from Vietnamese, Chinese and Latino residents, immigrants and refugees of all ages and generations who live in Denver and have shopped, dined, gathered and grown up in the stretch of South Federal Blvd. from Alameda to Mississippi, which is now called Little Saigon. Colorado Asian Pacific United - CAPU is going to host two Community Memory Workshops gathering our interviewees as well as the public -- YOU -- to join us and share YOUR stories of Little Saigon. When did you first come to the area? What's your favorite food there? Do you attend the many celebrations now hosted by the Far East Center there? We'll feed attendees, and ask you to bring memories and artifacts like photographs that we can scan. The project will be part of History Colorado's Museum of Memory.
